Mission:

To effectively market and promote products marketed by companies I represent, and to uphold a high moral and ethical position within the fishing industry and community.

Objective:

At present, I am looking for sponsors (partners) that have inovative products that I can not only promote locally, but on a regional and National level as well. I will be fishing numerous tournaments throughout the years, and will be retiring from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice within the next 7 years. At that time I hope to have a successful business in operation with the companies I represent, either through a local tackle shop of my own, or working full time for these companies. I would apprecitate the opportunity to promote and market your company's product as I have done, and am doing, for the companies I now represent.

History:

I began fishing at the early age of 8 with my Dad and Grandfather. We would fish farm ponds that belonged to some family friends. I can still remember the first topwater bass I caught. It was a 3 lbr on a green/wht Jitterbug. The bass hit just as the lure was reaching the bank. I've been "hooked" ever since! After finishing school I worked for a discount chain in Conroe, TX and began fishing Lake Conroe with the sporting goods manager. We fished many tournaments together with some clubs that are no longer around. This was in the late 70's. In the early 80's I decided to go into Law Enforcement and in 1984 took a patrolman's job in San Augustine County. Many of the volunteer firemen there fished, and I would go along with them to Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend. From San Augustine I went to Linden, TX and while a patrol officer there, I was introduced to Wright Patman, Caddo, The Big Cypress Bayou, and Lake-o-the-Pines. Bass fishing on days off became a way of life, especially after I moved to Jefferson, TX and met my wife, Terry, of 16 years now. Her brother, also an avid bass fisherman, and I hit it right off and together we would fish a few tourneys here and there around the lakes previously mentioned. All local tourneys and a lot of just fishing for fun. I found that I was improving my skills on placement of cast, lure presentation, etc., and the quality of the fish I was catching was improving also. Well, I took a patrolman's job with a small town in east TX and began fishing Lake Livingston. After a few years there I went to work for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and have been there the last 15 years. Terry and I own a nice place on Lake Livingston with a 60' pier, boat house, and a fenced yard for our kids (both four legged) and now, I'm on the water, weather permitting, at least two days a week.In 2009, I am fishing the ABA trail Chapter 119, with a club out of Dallas, Big Bass Fun, and many charity tournaments across the tri-state area. I have partnered with El Grande Lures, KaRu Lures, Minda Lures, Kistler Custom Rods, Azuma Fishing, Vicious Fishing, Secret Weapon Lures, Hag's Tornado Baits, HatCams, Mike's Original Recipe, Bow to Stern and KVD Line and Lure Conditioner. These folks have really been good to me, and I was recently promoted to Pro Staff Director for El Grande Lures. I can offer my expertise in promoting your products via forums, word of mouth, decal display on truck and boat, display of logo on tournament shirts and retail sales effectively, as I have for the companies I now represent. Thank you for stopping by and giving this a read as I hope that I will hear from you in the near future.
